The Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 was passed in March 2014 and introduces important changes to the planning, operation and delivery of children’s services in Scotland.
As part of this legislation, Creative Scotland should report every three years about how we are respecting and protecting children’s rights through our work. We should involve children and young people in developing the way we produce reports and identifies areas where we need to improve.
This is our first report on our work in relation to the UNCRC so we’ll be looking at where we are now and what areas need more work to make sure we’re doing the best job we can to uphold children’s rights within our remit.
