Multi-Year Funding: Briefing Sessions

Published: 09 May 2023

All sessions are now fully booked. Please note that a recording of the presentation, including FAQs, will be made available in July.

As communicated on 02 May, we have scheduled a programme of briefing sessions in June designed to support organisations working in Scotland’s culture and creative sector who are interested in learning more about the forthcoming Multi-Year Funding programme.

Please note that in August and September 2023, once the Fund Guidance has been published, we also intend to schedule further information sessions. These will focus on the detail of the application process.

Who should attend these briefing sessions?

We recommend that a representative from any cultural or creative organisation based in Scotland and interested in receiving funding on a multi-year basis from Creative Scotland attend.

This includes organisations who are currently in receipt of Regular Funding from Creative Scotland; who currently receive funding through Open Funds or Targeted Funds on a multi-year basis; or who have applied for funding on a multi-year basis in the past and are interested in doing so again.

These sessions are for organisations who are potential applicants to the Multi-Year Funding programme and are not designed for individual artists or creative practitioners, or for other partners or stakeholders.

As such, representatives of cultural or creative organisations based in Scotland will be given priority in terms of places at the sessions.

What’s the format?

The sessions will be led by Kenneth Fowler, Director of Communications and External Relations, and Clive Gillman, Director of Creative Industries and will last for 90 minutes.

At these sessions we will discuss:

  • The context for the Fund, including expected budget and scope.
  • The purpose and principles of the Fund.
  • How the Fund fits with other funding available.
  • The timeline and expected deadlines.
  • An overview of the application process.
  • An opportunity for questions and discussion.

All the sessions will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, with a capacity of 50 places at each session. Live captioning will be available at each session, and any additional access needs can be advised through registration.

After all the sessions have concluded, a recording of the presentation, incorporating any useful learning points picked up from the sessions will be produced and made available on our website.
