We have previously announced measures to support those in receipt of funding, including that all funding awards already committed will be honoured regardless of whether the funded activity is cancelled, reduced or rescheduled. We will continue to take a pragmatic and flexible approach for those who have existing funding relationships with us, including drawing funding down earlier than planned if necessary.
In addition, Creative Scotland staff have been working hard on responding further to the unprecedented circumstances the sector is currently facing. On Friday 27 March we are planning to launch two new funds; a bridging bursary programme for individuals in immediate need which will be simple and non-competitive, and a repurposed Open Project Fund. Our aim is that these changes will enable individuals and organisations to sustain their creative work and practice in these extremely challenging times.
We are continuing to gather information on the impacts that Covid-19 is having across the sector. We continue to actively engage with the Scottish Government to discuss further potential measures and support. We will provide regular updates as this work progresses.
