Scotland’s jazz scene is overflowing with talented artists whose work is brought to life on the country’s stages through a vibrant array of festivals and events. Their music enriches the genre and deserves international attention.
jazzahead! is the industry’s biggest international gathering, taking place from 24 to 26 April 2025 in Bremen, Germany. Every year, we are proud to support and promote a group of Scotland-based artists and producers attending the event, and to highlight our vibrant jazz scene.

jazzahead! 2025
Norman&Corrie are this year’s Scottish showcasing artists at jazzahead!, supported by Creative Scotland through PRS Foundation’s International Showcase Fund. They will be performing in the Schlachthof on Friday 25 April at 9pm, and presenting a screening of Douglas Tyrrell Bunge’s film about their album, Twa Double Doubles, on Saturday 26 April at 7pm.
In 2025, Creative Scotland is working with Glasgow Jazz Festival and Jazz Scotland to provide bursaries and mentoring support to artists Ali Affleck, Dorian Cloudsley (Fat-Suit), Marianne McGregor, Joe Nichols (Nimbus Sextet), and Norman Villeroux (Azamiah). Marco Cafolla also returns to jazzahead! with a targeted bursary to enable him to follow up Mama Terra’s hugely successful showcase in 2024.
Over three days, these artists will connect with delegates from around the world to find new opportunities for their music to reach an international audience
Joining the delegation in 2025 are artists Sophie Bancroft, Nathan Somevi and Tom Lyne, and promoters Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Glasgow Jazz Festival, Jazz At The Blue Lamp, and Jazz Scotland.
