Update on Visual Arts Sector Review

Published: 03 Mar 2016

We’d like to thank everyone who attended the Visual Arts Open Sessions in Glasgow and Edinburgh. These sessions are an important part of the Visual Arts Sector review and provide a great opportunity for people to share their priorities for future development with colleagues from across the sector. We are pleased to now announce details of the Inverness session.

Inverness Open Session - 22 March

The Inverness session will take place on Tuesday 22 March at the Centre for Health Science. It will start at 12.15 and finish at 5.45pm – lunch will be provided on arrival.

The speakers on the day will be Anna Vermehren, Director of Timespan in Helmsdale; Anne Bevan, artist and curriculum leader at Orkney College, UHI; and Diana Sykes, Director of Fife Contemporary Art and Craft.

We have earmarked 15 Attendance Allowances of £75 each to support the participation of artists, curators and other people working as freelance/self-employed in the sector. If we receive a higher number of requests than we can support we will allocate these allowances on the basis of achieving a diversity of representation at each session e.g. across gender, geography, role/occupation.
