Traditional Arts Officer (Part-Time)

Salary: £28,711 plus pension and benefits 

Part time – 3 days / 21 hours per week

We are looking for a Traditional Arts Officer to join us and support Creative Scotland’s work in this area, within the context of our Strategic and Annual Plan. You will be an active member of the Place, Partnership and Communities Team and will assess and make recommendations on a range of funding applications. You will also be expected to lead on several different projects and support the wider work of the Place, Partnership and Communities team across a variety of different programmes.

The person appointed will work collaboratively with a range of colleagues, partners, organisations and individuals to help create the environment for the traditional arts to thrive.

Our ideal candidate will have good knowledge of the Traditional Arts across different art forms and experience of working within or supporting the development of the traditional arts. You should be able to demonstrate your ability to work closely and communicate effectively with a range of external partners at various levels.

Strong interpersonal skills and team working, the ability to develop and establish partnerships both at home and abroad, and a commitment to our core values are all essential. An overview of the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland would be advantageous.
