Creative Learning Officer

Fixed Term Contract – 6 months Part-time (21 hours per week) - starting on 10 January 2022

Salary: £29,285 (Grade C) pro rata plus pension and benefits

We are looking for an officer to work with the Creative Learning and Young People (CLYP) team.

The role will involve assessing and making recommendations on a range of funding programmes and leading on a series of initiatives focused on sector learning and workforce development.

You will act as a contact for activity, providing advice and guidance to organisations and individuals, supporting the delivery of a range of funded projects and sector initiatives, which will involve both internal and external working and collaboration.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic Creative Scotland has been prioritising the delivery of emergency funding which has included a £4.5m Youth Arts Fund.

This ongoing emergency support for the sector, and the ensuing recovery work, will remain a focus of Creative Scotland for the medium to longer term. Our ideal candidate will have a successful track record of project management and working with arts organisations. You will have demonstrable experience of youth arts and creative learning.

You will also be able to demonstrate experience in carrying out detailed assessments of proposals and producing clear reports and recommendations.

Experience and understanding of the arts in Scotland, combined with strong interpersonal skills, are essential. Experience of managing evaluation and monitoring processes is desirable, but not essential.
