Strategy Update and Funding Review - Conversation Events

Starting at the end of May 2019, Creative Scotland is holding a series of events around Scotland to explore new ways to fund arts and creative activity as part of our Strategy Update and Funding Review.

These events are an opportunity for professional and voluntary creative practitioners, managers of creative organisations and businesses, and members of the local communities to inform the development of Creative Scotland’s overall approach to funding.

Each event will be a hands-on discovery workshop that explores priorities for public funding and how Creative Scotland should distribute the money it receives from the Scottish Government and the National Lottery.

The workshop will be in two parts:

Part One: Priorities for funding

Working in small groups you will be invited to consider the value of public funding for arts and creative activity and help identify the strategic priorities that will best support Scotland’s creative life.

Part Two: Funding models

With your group you will be invited to explore different ways that Creative Scotland can distribute funding to achieve the strategic priorities identified in the first part of the workshop.

In the coming weeks, we will publish further materials to help support and inform the conversations.

The events will be at the following places and dates - follow the links to book your place:

Each event can accommodate up to 40 participants and we are encouraging a broad mix of people working in the creative sectors, people who are interested in arts and creativity, and members of the local community.

What if I can’t attend one of the events?

If you would like to be part of this conversation but are not able to get to one of the events, you can take part in our Online Conversation at: surveymonkey.co.uk/r/creativescotlandconversations.
