Scotland + Venice
Scotland + Venice provides artists based in Scotland with a valuable platform to showcase their work on the international stage at one of the world’s most prestigious visual arts festivals, the Venice Biennale.
It is a partnership between Creative Scotland, National Galleries of Scotland and British Council Scotland. The partnership is now seeking notes of interest from experienced curators and/or visual arts organisations who will work with them to deliver an ambitious and imaginative project that will run during the Biennale (May 13 to November 26 2017).
Outline proposals should be completed using the
templates provided below and should be submitted to Amanda Catto, Head of Visual Arts
at amanda.catto@creativescotland.com

maximum of 6 proposals will be established and we will invite the selected

Graham Fagen was selected to represent Scotland at the 56th International Art Exhibition, the Venice Biennale, which ran from 9 May to 22 November 2015, in a solo presentation commissioned and curated by Hospitalfield Arts, Arbroath.
Graham's work mixes media and crosses continents; combining video, performance, photography, and sculpture with text, live music and even, plants. His recurring artistic themes, which include flowers, journeys and popular song, are used as attempts to understand and talk clear-sightedly about the powerful forces that shape our lives.
