Scotland + Venice

Scotland + Venice provides artists based in Scotland with a valuable platform to showcase their work on the international stage at one of the world’s most prestigious visual arts festivals, the Venice Biennale.

The Partnership Board of Scotland + Venice, which comprises Creative Scotland, British Council, National Galleries Scotland, Architectures & Design Scotland and the Scottish Government, are committed to developing Scotland + Venice over the next few years establishing new opportunities and partnerships and continuing to build Scotland’s strength and reputation as an important international voice in visual art and architecture.

Through participation in La Biennale, Scotland + Venice aims to position Scotland internationally as a distinct, dynamic and diverse centre for creative excellence, fostering ambitious, innovative work in the fields of contemporary art and architecture, strengthened through international development, professional dialogue, public engagement and cultural exchange.
