This is advance notice that the Cancellation Fund for Creative Freelancers will close to applications at 5pm on Monday 24 January.
Since opening the Fund on 06 January, we have received c.1,800 applications for support, requesting a total of c. £3m. More than half of successful applications have been paid so far.
The majority of those applications were made in the first few days of the fund being open and, since then, applications have dropped off significantly, so we have taken the decision to pause the fund at this point.
We will continue to work with Scottish Government on a further iteration of COVID-19 funding support for Freelancers, in order to make the remaining £7m funds available to those who need it. Further information on this will be issued over the coming weeks.
