Creative Scotland has commissioned Culture Radar to undertake a review of Fair Work, leadership, workforce and skills development across the arts, screen and creative industries in Scotland. The Review will take place between August 2021 and February 2022.
The Scottish Government's vision is for Scotland to be a leading Fair Work Nation by 2025. No matter where your income or funding is derived, Fair Work and workforce development are important for everyone across our varied sector, now more than ever.
This Review and its findings will help inform Creative Scotland's planning and research around Fair Work, including how it might better support the cultural and creative sectors to implement it. It will also provide a baseline for understanding Fair Work and workforce development needs for the sector as a whole which will be critical for everyone’s future planning.
We are keen to gather contributions from artists, organisations and freelancers working across the sector. We are asking people to complete two forms – a Fair Work Survey and a Skills Mapping Form.
To help limit survey fatigue these forms should only take between 5 and 20 minutes to complete, and by taking part respondents can opt in to win £50 to spend with a Scotland-based artist or creative organisation of their choice.
To read more about the Review, research findings and case studies as they emerge, and get notifications for future consultation events, visit the Fair Work and Leadership page on the Culture Radar website or follow @CultureRadarUK on Twitter.
