Made in Scotland 2019 opens for applications

Applications open today for Made in Scotland 2019 - the annual curated showcase of music, theatre and dance taking place as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Made in Scotland celebrates the wealth and diversity of work being produced in Scotland, and through being presented at the world’s largest arts festival provides a range of artists and companies working in this country with invaluable international profile.

209 shows have been supported at the Fringe thanks to the programme since it first took place in 2009 from the likes of Scottish Ensemble, Indepen-dance, Starcatchers/Curious Seed, 21 Common and Birds of Paradise / National Theatre of Scotland.  

Dance, theatre, and music artists & companies based in Scotland can apply to the Music and Theatre & Dance programmes up to 5pm on Thursday 22 November 2018. To find out more and apply, visit creativescotland.com/madeinscotland.

Made in Scotland also supports work created in Scotland which has been staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, to tour internationally through the Onward International Touring Fund.

Since 2009, this funding has made possible tours across six continents, visiting over 36 countries, including USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Lithuania, Japan, China, Chile and more. 

This opportunity is open to companies and artists based in Scotland who have been part of Made in Scotland and those who have not, and applications can be made at any time.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and Creative Scotland will run two information sessions for potential Made in Scotland 2019 applicants.
