Chair of the Creative Scotland Board, Richard Findlay, said of the appointments:

“I am absolutely delighted to welcome Karthik, Iain, Karen and Cate to the Board. Their broad range of experience, background and perspectives will further strengthen those already brought to our Board by the existing members.

"Janet Archer and her team at Creative Scotland continue to deliver against the coherent strategy and funding approach they have set out and work hard to support Scotland's arts, screen and creative industries both at home and internationally. The newly strengthened Board will work to ensure that this continues. Our culture is vitally important in the challenging times we find ourselves in and, as a Board, we will do everything we can to continue to support it to be positive, confident and to thrive.

“I very much look forward to working with all Board members over the coming months and years."
