Creative Learning Events Archive

In 2017 Creative Scotland published the Creative Learning Review, informing this part of our role for the next five years. A key priority was the commitment to ‘develop an annual calendar of events that will enable knowledge, experiences and ideas relating to creative learning to be shared regularly with and between the arts, screen and creative industries sector and other public sectors’.

This programme of events, developed in association with the ArtWorks Scotland Forum for Practice Development. Its aims are to create a coherent programme of networking opportunities for artists working in creative learning and participatory arts. The events aim to inspire practice and support networking and skills development.

Programme for 2018/19

In 2018/19 we held a series of professional development sessions focusing on creative learning and participatory arts. Hosted in collaboration with Red Bridge Arts, the sessions took place across Scotland between November 2018 and March 2019.

The events were for practitioners from arts and non-arts sectors who work with, or want to work with, arts and people.

The events included Sharing the power - Co-designing with communities (Perth, November 2018), Risk, innovation and excellence (Glasgow, December 2018), the Civic Role of the Arts (Edinburgh, February 2019) and Exploring cross-sector collaborations (Dundee, March 2019).
