CashBack for Creativity - Annual Report 2017/18

CashBack for Creativity is a programme funded by the Scottish Government's CashBack for Communities programme.

It offers young people (10 - 24 years) across Scotland the opportunity to engage in creative and cultural activity. It provides high quality learning and developmental activities across all art forms which improve the skills and confidence of young people, raise attainment and aspirations, and provide pathways for further learning, training, education and employment.

Phase 4 of the programme runs from April 2017 until March 2020, distributing £2.6m across two funds.

This Annual Report tells the story of 2017/18 – year one of the three-year programme – and features stories from some of the young people who have taken part and grown through the programme.

In 2017/18, 13 of the 15 Targeted Fund projects began working with young people, and 34 Open Fund projects started and completed (and are therefore considered in the below annual report), all together working within 21 Local Authorities across Scotland.
