What personal information do we collect about you?

If you need help to complete a funding application and choose to use CS’s Access Support Service, CS requires the following personal information and sensitive personal information from you:

  • Name
  • Contact information e.g. email address
  • Information regarding your access need – this may include sensitive personal information relating to your health

Note: if access support is provided to you by someone you know e.g. friend, neighbour, family member, CS will require their personal information to process your request.

What are our purposes for processing your personal information?

  • Provision of access support for a funding applicant requiring help to complete a funding application e.g. large print

  • Share funding applicants’ personal information and sensitive personal information with a support provider to enable them to make contact with the funding applicant and provide support needed

  • Should CS be unable to provide access support, with the agreement of the funding applicant, CS may refer and share the access support request with a third party e.g. Arts Council England that can arrange to provide the access support required

  • Create anonymous reports for evaluation and improvement of CS’s funding journey and Access Support Service

What is our legal basis for handling and using your personal information?

Public Function - in the performance of tasks carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of Creative Scotland’s official authority as Controller including under the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010.

How long will we keep your personal information?

5 years.
