Invitation to Tender - Access Support Workers

We are looking for a wide range of freelance/self-employed Access Support Workers who can support applicants applying to our funds on an ad hoc basis.

Access support contributes to costs for support to help applicants overcome barriers when applying for our funds. Support is offered to individuals and lead applicants of groups who self-identify as d/Deaf, hard of hearing, disabled or living with chronic illness, mental illness or neurodivergence (such as dyslexia, autism or ADHD).

As you will be supporting a range of applicants, you should have credible experience of supporting disabled people, including those with complex needs, to navigate funding or other applicant/information-based processes.

We would like to diversify the pool of Support Workers to support our commitment to Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion and are looking for applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and lived experiences which will better-represent the diversity within the culture and creative sector and Scotland’s population.

This opportunity is available for one year in the first instance, with the possibility of extension. Overall workload will be dependent on the number of support requests received.

You will be working on an ad hoc basis and be paid a fee of up to £240 per day. The number of hours/days of work will be determined by Creative Scotland’s Access Coordinator and confirmed in advance.

Successful candidates need to be available to attend a training day on either 1, 2 or 3 October 2025 and attend two two-hour sharing and learning sessions, dates tbc. Attendance will be paid at a pro-rata rate.
