This fund, developed in partnership with The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, is aimed at nurturing the ambition, enthusiasm and talent of exceptional young artists engaged in traditional music and dance - with a priority focus on piping, drumming, Highland dance and traditional fiddle playing.
Through this fund, we look to support a small but ambitious programme of inspiring projects with exceptional young traditional music and dance artists from across Scotland.
Arts and cultural organisations are eligible to apply for funds from the £150,000 budget which is donated by the charitable arm of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The fund aims to nurture the ambition and talent of young people (aged 5-26) engaged in traditional music and dance, specifically in piping, drumming, Highland dance and fiddle playing.
The total budget available is £150,000 with a minimum award of £5,000 and a maximum award of £20,000.
The deadline has now passed - applications closed on 3 February 2020.
