Funding Programmes

Creative Scotland Funding during Covid-19

Given the unprecedented nature of the situation that we are now facing, we have made some very urgent changes to our funding routes with immediate effect.

We have launched three funding programmes designed to provide further support to sustain the country’s creative community during the COVID-19 outbreak:

- Creative Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
- Screen Scotland Bridging Bursary Fund
- Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development

You can also read our regular updates at: www.creativescotland.com/coronavirus

If you have any queries, please email: enquiries@creativescotland.com

Creative Scotland funding is open to individuals, groups or organisations to apply for, supporting a wide range of activity in the arts, screen and creative industries. View the programmes below for more information about what each will support and how to apply.

Bridging Bursary

This is a fund for those individual artists and freelancers who have lost income from their creative work and/or practice due to COVID-19.

Open Fund: Sustaining Creative Development

A fund launched in March 2020 in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic to focus support on helping individuals and organisations to sustain themselves.

Regular Funding

Regular funding seeks to ensure Scotland has a breadth and range of arts and creative organisations and sustainable environments through which artists and creative people can deepen and deliver their work, their engagement with the public, and their professional networks.

Targeted Funding

A selection of ring-fenced funds which support specific art forms, specialisms or geographic areas.

Funds Delivered by Partners

As part of our Targeted Funding, these are a selection of funds and development initiatives which are delivered on behalf of Creative Scotland by other organisations.
