All Creative Scotland staff are required to annually complete a declaration of interest form to ensure they do not hold any conflicts of interest when undertaking their role. In advance of the Multi-Year Funding Programme assessment process, all staff were asked to update this declaration, and this involved confirming they had read project guidance on maintaining fairness and open competition in relation to this fund. Anyone with a confirmed conflict of interest, or lead officer relationship for an existing funded organisation, was not allocated the assessments for these organisations and all assessment staff undertook compulsory training in unconscious bias as a requirement of the training for this fund.
