In terms of how to balance international work and environmental sustainability – in some instances an applicant which is planning on working internationally will unfortunately have to accept that one of the impacts of this activity may be that their environmental footprint is duly affected as a result.
We don’t necessarily expect this to always be a perfect balance, we accept that one aspect impacts the other and we do try to account for this in the questions – specifically giving applicants the opportunity in the international section to tell us both about their work and about how they might mitigate the environmental impact of it.
