All applications will be firstly checked for eligibility and completeness by our Funding Team. Eligible applications will then be allocated to Assessment Teams, made up of internal Creative Scotland staff who will be assessing using their specialist expertise relating to the art form/specialism identified by the applicant. If there are situations in which the allocated assessor requires additional support this will be available within their assessing team, with a quality assurance process providing additional specialist support from other colleagues as required.

After the assessment stage, organisations will move forward through a series of Portfolio Review meetings - a process designed to ensure that those progressing to Stage 2 have been considered with regards to the national spread, distribution, and diversity of activity being supported. This final recommended Stage 1 portfolio will then be submitted to the Creative Scotland Board for final consideration and decisions.
