The Touring Fund was established with a very specific remit to bolster the touring sector, and thus it placed certain stipulations on applicants in terms of the minimum number of venues that a tour should involve.
Multi-Year Funding covers a broader range of art form areas, and so isn't as specific about touring, and it doesn't have the same specific requirements that applicants are required to meet, ie there is no set figure in terms of venue numbers that we would require from an applicant.
That said, we are looking (in the Multi-Year Funding application form) to consider impact and reach of activity that is being funded, and this will include the geographical spread of work as part of that.
