Ian‘s role includes financial planning, reporting, commercial support to decision making, risk management and governance. He also manages the organisation’s properties.
He is a Scottish Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience in a variety of audit and senior finance management roles in both the private and third sectors.
Ian was a Board member of Edinburgh’s Telford College and is now on the Board of Places for People Scotland Care and Support, a charity which supports people with learning disabilities, mental health issues, the homeless, the elderly and the young. He is also a member of the Audit Committee of the parent company, Castle Rock Edinvar Housing Association.
He volunteers as an independent examiner, supporting small, non-profit organisations with their financial reporting.
