The Great Escape

Showcasing Scotland at The Great Escape

The Great Escape is one of the most important platforms for new music in the world, with the festival and convention attracting over 3,500 key industry figures on the look-out for new talent.

At The Great Escape Festival 2017 (18-20 May) Creative Scotland supported eight top Scottish acts to perform at two Showcasing Scotland concerts.

Hosted by BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway, the Showcasing Scotland concerts took place at the Brighthelm, Brighton featuring Emme Woods
The LaFontaines, The Van T’s, Be Charlotte, TeenCanteen, Saint Phnx, Shogun and Spinning Coin.

Alongside the Showcasing Scotland concerts, Creative Scotland and Born to be Wide hosted an international networking reception on Thursday 18 May which allowed Scotland’s music industry and musicians to connect with international delegates and those from the rest of the UK.
