Creative Scotland welcomes the publication today of the Scottish Government’s draft strategy - A Culture Strategy for Scotland - which marks a significant step for cultural policy and support in Scotland.
We are particularly pleased to see an emphasis on achieving long term change through collaboration across different areas of society and different areas of Government policy. The emphasis on equalities, diversity and inclusion is also significant in terms of how we all provide support for artists, cultural organisations and communities in order to see Scotland’s culture continue to thrive.
Creative Scotland will consider the draft strategy and respond, and we encourage anyone with an interest in culture in Scotland to do the same.
The public consultation runs until 19 September 2018.
