Update on Regular Funding - October 2016

Published: 12 Oct 2016

An update on plans for the next round of Regular Funding 2018 - 2021

In the run-up to opening the next round of Regular Funding 2018-21, we have issued update statements through our website in March 2016 and July 2016 as well as communicating updates through social media and at information sessions.

Further to these statements, we are now able to share the following information regarding the next round of Regular Funding, 2018-2021.

Guidance and application forms for Regular Funding 2018-21 will be published on our website in the week commencing 31 October 2016. We will open for receipt of applications from 16 January 2017 and the closing date for applications will be 3 April 2017.

In addition to the above, it's important to note that we do not yet know what budget will be available to us for the next round of Regular Funding 2018-21. We anticipate announcing the decisions on Regular Funding 2018-21 in October 2017. However, this will depend on the timing of the budget announcement from the Scottish Government, which we are advised will be in the Autumn of 2017.

As mentioned in previous communications, demand for funding will be high and the process competitive. Pressure on Scottish Government budgets is also expected to continue in the coming years. As such, we anticipate this may impact on the amount of funding we have available for Regular Funding in future and consequently the number of organisations we are able to support through this funding route.

Our Enquiries service will be available as usual to answer any queries on Regular Funding, or any other aspect of the support we provide. We always recommend that organisations thinking of applying for Regular Funding read the guidance fully before contacting us. We will also publish FAQs on our website, and update these on an ongoing basis, shaped by the nature of the enquiries we receive.

Our next communication on Regular Funding will be to inform everyone that the guidance and application forms have been published.

In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.
