Laura Mackenzie Stuart, Head of Theatre at Creative Scotland said: “Through Made in Scotland a fantastic range of Scottish work will once again be presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to audiences from across Scotland and the world. Brilliant Scottish dance, music and theatre will also be supported to travel to stages across the world thanks to this hugely successful programme. This funding provides a fantastic boost to the individual projects, and also shows to the world that Scotland is one of the most artistically innovative and exciting countries in the world.
“This year we’re looking once again for work that challenges, that excites; work that pushes boundaries, and that brings artists together in new partnerships. Work that will make audiences, promoters and everyone who is passionate about the arts and creativity sit up and take notice. We look forward to discovering the exciting and innovative work that shall form the 2016 programme.”
Made in Scotland also supports work created in Scotland which has been staged at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to tour internationally through the Onward International Touring Fund.
