Made in Scotland 2014
About the Programme
Made in Scotland is a curated showcase promoting high quality music, theatre and dance to international promoters and audiences at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. It is a partnership between Creative Scotland, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, the Federation of Scottish Theatre and the Scottish Music Centre. Made in Scotland is supported through the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund and was launched in 2009.
- Made in Scotland programme
The showcase celebrates the wealth and diversity of work that is currently being produced in Scotland.
- Onward International Touring
One of the key aims of Made in Scotland is to maximise the benefit for Scottish artists on the international platform that is the Fringe. As part of this, funding is allocated to support any Scottish dance, theatre or music companies (not just those selected to be part of the Made in Scotland showcase) to take up international touring opportunities arising from performances at the Fringe. To date, Made in Scotland has supported companies to present their work in Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
Who can apply
This is open to any Scottish musicians, dance and theatre artists, companies or organisations who presented work as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe towards international opportunities arising from these performances. Applications can come from individual artists or from companies/organisations.
