About the Programme

The purpose of the Touring, Festivals and Arts Programming Fund was to enable people across Scotland to have access to a wide range of high quality arts activities through regular programming, touring and festivals.  There were three routes for applications within this programme:

Route 1: Touring

Specifically supporting the wider touring of existing work, including performances and exhibitions, Creative Scotland was particularly keen to encourage touring into areas with limited cultural provision as well supporting collaborations between producers and promoters.

Route 2: Festivals

Creative Scotland aspired to develop and nurture the festivals scene in Scotland by supporting festivals of national and international significance.

Route 3: Arts Programming

Through Arts Programming, applicants could receive support to present a programme of work. Creative Scotland was keen to encourage high quality and imaginative programmes which look to build new and diverse audiences.

The Touring, Festivals & Arts Programming fund ran between 2011-14 but as of August 2014 the fund is now closed. From September 2014, anyone interested in funding for this sort of activity should now look at the Open Project Fund.
