About the Programme

In the run-up to the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, a total of £4million was made available for individual artists, community-led groups and arts organisations to apply for awards ranging from £20,000 - £300,000. This fund was a major component in the development of the nationwide Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme aiming to enhance the Games experience for Scotland’s communities, spectators and visitors, as well as present the best of Scotland’s culture alongside that of the Commonwealth. The Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme Open Fund was a partnership with Glasgow 2014 Limited, Creative Scotland and Glasgow Life.

The Glasgow 2014 Cultural Programme is now closed. From September 2014, anyone interested in funding for the creation of new work or community engagement activity should now look at the Open Project Fund.
