An Xmas album by the National Jazz Trio of Scotland, hopefully to be released this year.

Where’s your creative place? Either your workspace, or another place that sparks your imagination.

The kitchen.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

That 'you've got to have something to kick against' given by the late Lindsay L Cooper.

Who is your “one to watch” for the future or someone overlooked from the past that you feel should be better known?

Richard Youngs.

You’re a prolific collaborator, what do you enjoy the most about working with other artists and do you find that being self-taught helps you to bring something different to the table?

That it takes you to places you wouldn't normally go, both artistically and occasionally, geographically. It's possible that being self taught makes it easier to imagine what it is like to come from a different place artistically.
