I’m looking for funding to study a course – can Creative Scotland help?

I'm looking for funding to write a book?

Funding for writers and publishers looking to develop a book should be made through the Quality Production Programme. The fund will support the research and development costs for writers who are looking to develop a book – through the ‘Project Development’ route. For publishers who are then looking to produce or publish the book, funding can be sought from the ‘Production and Presentation’ route. Read more

I've been offered a place as an Artist in Residence – can I apply for funding to help cover the costs?

Artists looking to take up positions as an Artist in Residence, can apply to the Professional Development Programme. This programme will support artists for a range of skills development activity and is open all year round. Apply at any time, and you’ll get a decision within 8 weeks. However, please note that if the residency has been established with funding from Creative Scotland then you wouldn’t normally be able to get additional funding support to undertake the placement. We’re looking for funding to undertake a tour of Scotland – can Creative Scotland support this?

Our Touring, Festivals & Arts Programming Fund will support the wider touring of existing work – be it work by performing arts companies or exhibitions of crafts or visual arts work. Priority will be given to applications which tour into areas which presently have limited cultural provision, and also to applications which support greater collaborations between producers and promoters.
