Arts & Criminal Justice Evaluation

Creative Scotland has recently established an Arts & Criminal Justice Advisory Group to oversee a three-year programme of arts activities in the context of Scotland’s criminal justice system. This programme will resource a number of projects that will offer opportunities to develop the integration of arts into criminal justice provision and practice. It is anticipated that the Arts & Criminal Justice Programme will support a portfolio of projects located within prisons, and a further set in community settings. In order to evaluate this programme, Creative Scotland invites tenders for two evaluations in relation to the programme of activity that will begin in 2012. These are:

  • To assess the processes by and the extent to which arts provision can be normalised within prisons.
  • To assess the processes by and the extent to which arts provision can be normalised within communities affected by crime.

Deadline: 12pm, 2 March 2012.

Opinion Survey: Understanding Scotland's Creativity

We require support from specialist contractors to help us shape and deliver an opinion survey. This work will comprise:

  • Developing around 20 survey questions with Creative Scotland and piloting these as required. It is envisaged that these will predominately be closed questions, with only a small number of fields for open responses;
  • Conducting four quarterly surveys of the public and relevant professionals, either as bespoke opinion surveys or through an existing omnibus survey;
  • And reporting quarterly findings to Creative Scotland's Director of Communications and External Relations.

Deadline: 12pm, 22 Feb 2012.
